Eddy's interesting trip to Anguilla!

So usually I write about myself, and stuff that has impacted me, well today's no different. One of my fraternity brothers told me that they were coming to visit me on the island. I was excited to show one of my colleagues the place where I grew up, and share some of my cultures with them, seeing that it is so different from Tennessee.

The day came when I had to pick Eddy up from the ferry. As I was sitting, waiting for his boat to come in, there were people talking about how some people missed the boat, and that they had to spend the night in St.Marten. Knowing Eddy's luck I was sure that he was one of those people who got left behind. As the ferry pulled in, I was looking nervously through the fence, just hoping to glimpse Eddy's unique hairstyle. People started hurrying off of the boat, no Eddy insight... I was wondering; What will he do if he got left behind? Will he call? Does he know how to catch a taxi? Does he have money for a hotel? Should I call my aunt?...I had no idea what to do next, then out of nowhere, I see Eddy walking up the peer. He was dressed like a real islander, coming to the island all linen out, stepping with confidence and such. I was very surprised that he had made it.

The first thing he did was to come and meet everyone I worked with at the tennis academy. Most people's comments when they walk into the academy's gates are "wow this is amazing" or " how beautiful!" or even "this place is so neat!". Eddy's comments were " I thought it was bigger..." Anyways pushing that aside, we met everyone, and everyone decided that we would go to this bar that night and have a drink, to really welcome Eddy to the island, but not before he tried some of my aunt's island favourite "Ox Tail". I was excited for Eddy to have his first local meal, my aunt even served it with rice & peas, and some vegetables. Eddy took a nibble of it and insisted that he had had this in the states before and that it wasn't something new, even though I knew that nothing in the states tasted anything like this. No offence. haha.
I have to go give some kids a tennis lesson, write more when I'm back! ttyl

I think it's messed up that you didn't even mention that I picked Eddy up from the airport. And if he did get stuck in SXM I would've been there to get him. Weirdo...
